        Attention! Since February 2026, Bluetooth devices exported to Thailand must add this report!

        Author:中認聯科 time:2026-01-28 Ctr:6

        On December 28th, 2025, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand informed relevant stakeholders that the test report requirements for Bluetooth devices were updated. Since February 1st, 2026, Bluetooth devices must submit an electrical safety test report to successfully obtain the supplier's declaration of conformity SDoC.

        Main contents of new regulations update

        Previously, the old Thai standard (NTC TS 1012-2551) only required Wi-Fi devices to do electrical safety tests, while Bluetooth devices were exempted. However, the new standard TS 1035-2562 issued by NBTC this time has expanded the range of products used, covering all radio communication equipment using 2.4GHz and/or 5GHz frequencies, including:

        ◆ Bluetooth and low power Bluetooth (BLE) devices.

        ◆ Zigbee, short-range devices (SRDs) and Internet of Things devices.

        ◆ Wi-Fi transceiver and access point

        In other words, the current Bluetooth devices must incorporate the electrical safety test report into the application materials of the Declaration of Supplier Conformity (SDoC).

        Transition period of new regulations implementation

        ★ As of January 31, 2026: the electrical safety test report is still not required to apply for SDoC certificate, and NBTC issues the certificate normally;

        ★ From February 1st, 2026: All Bluetooth devices must submit electrical safety test reports when applying for SDoC certificates (this is a mandatory requirement).

        Subsequent certification requirements

        From February 1st, 2026, all Bluetooth products applying for NBTC certification must include the following contents when submitting SDoC certification materials:

        ★ Radio frequency (RF) test report

        ★ Radiation exposure (SAR) report (provided when the equipment is applicable)

        ★ Electrical safety test report (it must be proved that it conforms to recognized safety standards, such as international standards IEC 60950-1, IEC 62368-1 or other applicable safety frameworks and Thai national safety standards TIS 1561-2013, etc.)

        Corporate compliance advice

        1. Self-inspection of products: confirm whether the equipment exported to Thailand belongs to the 2.4GHz/5GHz band (especially Bluetooth and BLE equipment);

        2. Make-up test: For related Bluetooth devices, it is recommended that enterprises contact the testing organization as soon as possible to complete the corresponding electrical safety test and get the report that meets the requirements, so that the products can enter the Thai market in compliance in the later stage;

        3. Grasp the window period: If the product has not been submitted to SDoC, it is recommended to complete the application before January 31 to avoid possible process delays after the implementation of the new regulations.

        Warm tips
